Martin Luther King Jr Day of Service

Martin Luther King Jr Day of Service is a day dedicated to celebrating the life and work of the great civil rights activist, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. It is observed annually in the United States on the third Monday of January, which is around the same time as Dr. King’s birthday. On this day, people all across America come together to honor Dr. King’s legacy by volunteering their time and effort to serve their communities.

On Monday, January 15, 2024 from 11 am to 1 pm, Starbucks Coffee will be partnering with the D’Andre D Lampkin Foundation to create hygiene kits at the community networking hub. These kits will be donated to foster youth who participate in programs at the Ontario Tay Center, as well as families who are sheltered at the Foothill Family Shelter. This is a wonderful opportunity for volunteers to make a difference in the lives of those who are in need.
