As part of National Preparedness Month, the D’Andre D. Lampkin Foundation will be hosting City of Ontario Emergency Manager Sagar Patel. The purpose of the visit is to deliver information to residents interested in knowing how they can prepare themselves for the next natural or manmade disaster.
National Preparedness Month is an observance each September to raise awareness about the importance of preparing for disasters and emergencies that could happen at any time. The 2021 theme is “Prepare to Protect. Preparing for disasters is protecting everyone you love.”
ReadyOntario is your one-stop shop for emergency preparedness. This website is intended to provide residents, businesses, and all visitors to the City of Ontario a baseline of resources to be READY for any type of emergency or disaster. From this page you will be directed to a variety of tools to help guide you through the fundamentals of preparedness. At it’s core, remember this simple acronym: KPI. While this may sound like a business term for Key Performance Indicators, we refer to KPI as having a Kit, making a Plan, and being Informed before, during, and after any incident.
The first 15 attendees to RSVP will receive COVID-19 preparedness backpacks.
