#GivingTuesday is a global day of giving fueled by the power of social media and collaboration. Celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving (in the U.S.) and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday, #GivingTuesday kicks off the charitable season, when many focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving and champion causes they believe in.

Breath Giving Portraits Project
Children spend a significant amount of time in the hospital being treated for their illness. Children miss school, family gatherings, and time playing with friends. While the prospect of taking a family photo sounds exciting, mothers and fathers having to make the difficult decision to take a photo without their little guy or princess because the wheezing is too severe to discharge them from the hospital. The Breath Giving Portraits Project brings awareness to respiratory diseases that affect children from birth through the age of 21, brings some normalcy to the daily activities of pediatric pulmonology patients who otherwise would not be included in holiday family photos, and funds research related to respiratory diseases like asthma, cystic fibrosis, bronchiectasis, and congenital lung abnormalities.
Developing Neighborhood Agriculture (DNA) Initiative
The mission is to support community-based health programs for the indigent and to share lessons and build solidarity through global partnerships. DNA provides support to community farms by providing volunteers for local agriculture projects in communities identified as lacking fresh fruit, vegetables, and other healthful whole foods. We are transforming how families gain access to affordable nutritious fresh fruits and vegetables in urban communities.
It is best to think of recovery as a process because there are various levels or steps to recovering from a natural or man made disaster. By definition, the term ‘process’ refers to a series of actions or steps taken in order to achieve a particular end. But it’s always important to remember recovery takes time. It could be months or years before a community can recover completely. Your donations will help us not only get communities back on their feet, but make them stronger and more resilient.
Why your donations are important
By donating, YOU are empowering people to make a significant impact and positive opportunities in education, economic development, climate change research, health and wellness, and providing resources for under-served communities. We hope you join us in our efforts to build stronger, more resilient communities. (EIN: 81-5424366)
