Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles (LAFLA) is the frontline law firm for people living in poverty across Greater Los Angeles. Founded more than 90 years ago, LAFLA provides free, high-quality civil legal services to more than 100,000 low-income residents each year through neighborhood offices, self-help centers in courthouses, and domestic violence clinics. LAFLA+1
LAFLA’s attorneys, paralegals, and advocates work to preserve housing, protect survivors of domestic violence, secure government benefits, support immigrants, and defend basic human and civil rights. Through direct representation, systems-change litigation, and community education, LAFLA seeks to achieve equal justice and transform the lives of the most underserved members of the Los Angeles community.
