C.E.R.T. Presentation – Be Disaster Ready

COMMUNITY VOLUNTEERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND
We are pleased to invite you to an upcoming presentation hosted by the D’Andre D Lampkin Foundation as part of its Disaster Effort Initiative. This presentation is focused on Ontario’s Community Emergency Response Team (C.E.R.T.), and it is aimed at individuals who are interested in learning how they assist with community recovery after a large-scale disaster. Snacks will be provided and first-aid kits will be provided while supplies last.
The C.E.R.T. presentation will take place on September 26, 203 at 2pm, and it will be held at 2151 E Convention Center Way, Ontario, Ca 91764. During this event, attendees will learn how to become a member of the Ontario CERT program and assist with efforts to help the community recover following a disaster. You will have the opportunity to hear from experts in the field and ask questions about how you can get involved.
We would be honored if you could join us for this important event. RSVP is not required but it is preferred since snacks will be provided. We look forward to seeing you there.
The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) program educates volunteers about disaster preparedness for the hazards that may impact their area and trains them in basic disaster response skills, such as fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization, and disaster medical operations. CERT offers a consistent, nationwide approach to volunteer training and organization that professional responders can rely on during disaster situations, allowing them to focus on more complex tasks.
