Los Angeles County Bar Association

Los Angeles County Bar Association (LACBA) is one of the largest voluntary bar associations in the United States, serving more than 16,000 members across Los Angeles County and beyond. Founded in 1878, LACBA’s mission is to meet the professional needs of lawyers while advancing the administration of justice and expanding access to legal services for the public.

Through its many practice sections, continuing legal education programs, networking events, publications, and its SmartLaw Lawyer Referral Service, LACBA supports attorneys at every stage of their careers. At the same time, LACBA’s pro bono and public service initiatives help thousands of individuals each year connect with vital legal assistance, making it a cornerstone of the Los Angeles legal community.
