Public Counsel is a nationally-recognized nonprofit public interest law firm dedicated to advancing civil rights, racial justice, and economic equity through comprehensive legal advocacy and free legal services. As the largest provider of pro bono legal support in the United States, Public Counsel partners with thousands of volunteer lawyers, law students, and legal professionals to help tens of thousands of children, families, veterans, immigrants, seniors, and community organizations each year.
Public Counsel’s work includes direct legal representation, impact litigation, policy advocacy, and community-focused programs that promote access to justice in areas such as housing, consumer rights, education equity, immigrants’ rights, and inclusive community development.
