Our Story
Founded by D’Andre Lampkin, the Foundation was created from a belief that lasting community transformation requires more than temporary assistance—it requires investment in resilience, collaboration, and long-term empowerment. Through years of public service, emergency management experience, and direct community engagement, the Foundation has grown into a platform dedicated to supporting families, youth, disaster recovery initiatives, food security programs, educational opportunities, and community-centered solutions designed to strengthen neighborhoods from within. Growing up in South Central Los Angeles, D’Andre Lampkin witnessed firsthand the challenges many communities face, including poverty, instability, and the devastating impact of gang violence on families and neighborhoods. Those early experiences shaped his understanding of how deeply community conditions can influence opportunity, safety, and hope. Rather than allowing those realities to define his future, they inspired a lifelong commitment to public service, community resilience, and creating pathways for others to overcome adversity. The Foundation was built from that belief — that every community deserves investment, support, and people willing to help build a stronger future together. Today, the Foundation continues to expand its impact through strategic partnerships, volunteer engagement, research, civic collaboration, and innovative initiatives that help communities prepare for and overcome the challenges they face.

Meet D'Andre Lampkin
D’Andre Lampkin is the Founder of the D’Andre D. Lampkin Foundation and a public servant whose work spans nonprofit leadership, emergency management, public safety, civic engagement, and community resilience.
His leadership experience includes work in law enforcement, emergency preparedness, incident management, youth advocacy, and community development initiatives focused on strengthening public trust and expanding access to critical resources.
We have a vision for communities that are strong, fully engaged, and resilient; where all stakeholders are self-reliant and fully supported by sustainable ingenuity and grassroots efforts.

2023 Impact Report | Facing Challenges Head On
Life is full of unforeseen challenges and difficulties. From natural disasters to economic downturns, and political unrest to social upheavals, we have all experienced times when we have had to dig deep to find the resources and support we need to weather the storm. But what has consistently impressed us about the communities we served is our ability to band together, support one another, and come out stronger on the other side.
After 4 years of pivoting to meet new challenges, we were finally able to publish our latest summary to capture the progress we made since 2017.
