Welcome back to this three-part episode of All Things Possible. Our talented host, Jordyn Brown from Brave Spaces, sat down with a group of extraordinary students from the Chaffey Entrepreneurship Program, led by their innovative teacher, Ms. Ceron Christie. From one savvy student who’s giving new life to old garments, we now turn our attention to another group of innovative minds. Did I mention that they’ve even given themselves a company name. It’s called 1154. Get ready to learn about their Asian-inspired outerwear creations as they gear up for a sensational runway show. Stick around as we dive into this exciting journey that promises style, sustainability, and potential investors.
Chaffey High was the 1st school in the Inland Empire to offer the Entrepreneurship elective to their students. The goal behind the class is simply to help students create a start-up business and work to combat poverty in their families and communities.
Ceron Christie created Chaffey Entrepreneurship to challenge students to turn their learning into earnings, thus, combating socio-economic disadvantage in their communities. Ceron holds degrees in science, cross-cultural ed, and business. She is a New Yorker who has started her own business and is an angel investor in many youth start-ups.
