Breath GIVING Portraits Project Inaugural Event Open Letter

Season’s Greetings Friends of The Breath Giving Portraits Project –

I hope this holiday season finds you in great health and feelings of joy.  You are receiving this email because 1 year ago you were a financial backer or supporter of the BGP fundraiser at www.kickstarter.com. Unfortunately, in 2011 the project was not successfully funded. Because funding on Kickstarter is all or nothing, all pledges had been automatically canceled.

It is with great pleasure I write to you this year to inform you that the BGP was not only funded, but successfully completed on Thursday December 20, 2012. Supported by local and international communities, volunteers flew in from Washington DC, Chicago, and Oranjestad Aruba. All volunteers performed in their individual capacity but also offered their expertise from organizations such as Warner Bros, Disney, Aureus Medical School, Santa Barbara Police Department, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, and Los Angeles Fire Department.

Thank you for your support of the Breath GIVING Portraits Project. I am grateful for our volunteers, and everyone who encouraged me to keep working towards making the project a reality. The project was well received by the families, patients, and doctors of the pediatric community and plans are already underway to return to Children’s Hospital Los Angeles Division of Pediatric Pulmonology during the Easter holiday season.
