The Breath Giving Portraits Project 1024 683 Stories That Build

7 million children in the United States suffer from pediatric pulmonology related diseases. As a result, children spend a significant amount of time in the hospital being treated for their illness. Children miss school, family gatherings, and time playing with friends. While the prospect of taking a family photo sounds exciting, imagine a mother and father having to make the difficult decision to take a photo without their little guy or princess because the wheezing is too severe to discharge them from the hospital. Even more disheartening is the inability to afford a family photo because the hospital bills and cost of outpatient care is too overwhelming.

About the Breath Giving Portraits Project

The Breath Giving Portraits Project endeavors to bring awareness to child respiratory issues and bring some normalcy to patients and their families.

Working with photographers, make-up artist, and stylist we will give the families of children suffering with respiratory disorders a moment to catch their breath. The families of these children will be invited to a photo shoot where they will have a group family photo session with professional photographers. These photographers, make-up artist, and stylist come together to donate their skills and give back to the community.

Where Does Your Donation Go?

100% of donations go towards purchasing materials for prints, make-up kits, photo framing, food, and activities for the families and patients to enjoy throughout the day. The photos will be printed and given to the families the same day. Additional copies are mailed to extended family members at the parents request. All remaining funds are earmarked for pediatric pulmonology research.

Please consider making this project possible this year.
