Chaffey High School Entrepreneurship Christmas Donation Update
We wanted to provide an update on Chaffey High School Entrepreneurs’ recent donation to the D’Andre D Lampkin Foundation. Last week, we shared the exciting news about their donation of Christmas gifts to be distributed to veterans in need within our community. Today, we had the incredible opportunity to tour the city of Ontario and see firsthand the impact their donation will make.
During the tour, we introduced students to the amazing Ontario Veteran Memorial Park Community Center staff, who run programming for local residents with a special focus on honoring veterans. The students also had the pleasure of meeting the Quartermaster of the Ontario VFW, who shared with us their outreach programs and how they contribute to military veterans’ welfare.
The tour concluded with a visit to the city’s Ovitt Library, where the students were introduced to the Library Director and the coordinators of the Veterans Resource Center. We learned about the important services they provide to veterans in need.
Thanks to the efforts of our Chaffey High School Entrepreneurs, veterans seeking resources during the holiday season will receive a special package. This package will include a mug filled with snacks, as well as a blanket, scarf, gloves, and beanie hat to help keep them warm. Their donation will bring joy and comfort to those who have served our country.
Not only did our students make a difference in the lives of veterans, but they also gained valuable lessons in partnerships, collaboration, client relationship management, and holistic giving. It was a powerful experience for all involved.
We are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to contribute to such a meaningful cause. Thank you to the parent volunteers, Ms Ceron Christie, and the City of Ontario staff who supported our efforts and helped make it possible. Let’s continue to make a positive impact in our community together! #ChaffeyHighEntrepreneurs #DAndreDLampkinFoundation #GivingBack
