D’Andre D. Lampkin Foundation Sponsors Ontario Mountain View Little League AAA

For the fourth consecutive year, the D’Andre D. Lampkin Foundation is proud to support youth athletics in the City of Ontario by sponsoring a Little League team. This year, the Foundation is sponsoring the Ontario Mountain View Little League AAA team, continuing a tradition that reflects the organization’s deep commitment to strengthening the community through youth development, mentorship, and opportunity.

Youth sports have long played a critical role in building strong, resilient communities. Organized athletics create spaces where young people learn lessons that extend far beyond the playing field. Participation in sports teaches discipline, perseverance, leadership, and accountability, values that help shape confident and engaged members of society.

The Power of Organized Sports

When youth gather on a baseball diamond, they are doing far more than competing in a game. They are learning how to work together toward a shared goal, how to overcome setbacks, and how to celebrate achievements together as a team.

Organized sports like Little League provide structure and mentorship at a formative age. Coaches serve as role models, teammates become lifelong friends, and families gather in the stands, building connections that strengthen the community.

These shared experiences reinforce a sense of belonging and pride in one’s hometown. When young people feel connected to their community, they develop the resilience and confidence needed to navigate challenges and contribute positively to the world around them.

Baseball and the History of Ontario

Baseball holds a special place in the story of Ontario. For generations, local parks and community fields have served as gathering places where families and neighbors come together to share in America’s pastime.

That tradition has gained new momentum with the recent arrival of the Los Angeles Dodgers Single-A affiliate, the Ontario Tower Buzzers, bringing professional baseball to the city. The team represents a new chapter in Ontario’s sports legacy and highlights the city’s growing presence in the region’s baseball culture.

But every professional player’s journey begins somewhere, and often it begins on fields just like those used by Little League players throughout Ontario.

Little League baseball represents the foundation of that tradition. It is where young athletes first learn the values of teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship while representing their community with pride.

Lessons That Last a Lifetime

Little League teaches youth lessons that stay with them long after their final game.

Players learn teamwork, understanding that success depends on supporting one another. They learn community engagement, recognizing that they represent their neighborhoods and families every time they step onto the field. Most importantly, they develop pride in their community, knowing that their efforts reflect the spirit and character of the place they call home.

These experiences build confidence and resilience in young people, preparing them for challenges both on and off the field.

Investing in the Next Generation

The sponsorship of the Ontario Mountain View Little League AAA team reflects the broader mission of the D’Andre D. Lampkin Foundation, which is dedicated to strengthening communities through service, youth development, disaster recovery initiatives, and programs that build long-term resilience.

The funds provided by the Foundation and its generous donors help ensure that youth athletes have access to equipment, league resources, and opportunities to participate in organized sports.

More importantly, this investment demonstrates the Foundation’s commitment to empowering young people and strengthening the community through meaningful engagement.

By supporting youth programs like Little League, the Foundation helps cultivate future leaders while reinforcing the values that make communities thrive.

Strengthening Community Resilience

Community resilience is built through consistent investment in people, relationships, and opportunities that bring neighbors together.

Through its continued sponsorship of youth athletics, the D’Andre D. Lampkin Foundation demonstrates that resilience begins with empowering the next generation.

As the Ontario Mountain View Little League AAA team takes the field this season, they carry with them more than bats and gloves, they represent a community that believes in teamwork, pride, and the power of coming together.

Thanks to the support of the Foundation and its donors, that community spirit continues to grow stronger, one inning at a time.
