We’re celebrating community and interconnectedness at the Dawoodi Bohras Al Masjid Mosque Fun Fair. D’Andre Lampkin recently had the blessed opportunity to join Ontario residents at the Dawoodi Bohra Al Masjid Mosque in the City of Ontario, for their vibrant Fun Fair. Alongside my colleagues and friends from Ontario Community Life & Culture, we embraced an inspiring day filled with food, joy, and unity.
The Fun Fair was a beautiful testament to the power of interconnectedness among our city’s diverse religious groups. Residents from various faiths came together, celebrating our shared values and unique cultures. This event highlighted the importance of fostering a community where everyone feels valued and respected, regardless of their background.
The Dawoodi Bohra Al Masjid’s mission greatly resonates with this vision, emphasizing freedom of speech, women empowerment, enhancing the natural environment, engagement with other faiths, feeding the hungry, and promoting personal health and hygiene. These principles not only strengthen their community but also enrich our broader society.
As someone committed to bridging gaps and building a more interconnected community, I am truly inspired by the Dawoodi Bohra’s dedication to these causes. Events like this Fun Fair remind us all of the strength found in community and the importance of working together to create a welcoming environment for everyone.
Thank you to the Dawoodi Bohra community for hosting such a meaningful event and to all who attended, for your openness and warmth. Together, we can continue to foster a spirit of unity and connection across all facets of our community life.
